We see children of all ages beginning at age 5 and into adolescence. When working with children and adolescents, we use a wide range of techniques and therapy that include play, expressive art, and music and movement techniques.
Pre-marriage Counseling:
Harbor of Hope is a registered Twogether in Texas marriage education provider. We offer 8-10 week pre-marriage sessions to equip couples for a healthy marriage. Using the Bible as a guide, concepts covered include roles, expectations, finances, parenting, and intimacy. Upon completion of these sessions clients are offered a certificate for a discount on their marriage license.
Marriage Counseling:
We believe in the importance and sanctity of marriage. Whether you are wanting to strengthen an already stable marriage, or if your marriage is struggling, we're here to help. Our passion is to help move your marriage from struggling to thriving. Marriage sessions address issues including conflict resolution, communication skills, and help for those struggling due to sexual/pornography addiction and long-term effects of childhood sexual abuse.

EMDR is a research-based, structured therapy that encourages the client to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (which includes eye movements, tapping, or other stimulation).This allows traumatic memories to be stored in a healthier way in the brain, allowing for symptom reduction. EMDR therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

EFT is a form of self-applied, gentle acupressure ( no needles) which aids in relaxation. It helps a person move from functioning from the sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, freeze, or foggy brain) to the parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest).
